Delete your PBS account and data

Who is responsible?

PBS is business software. Your employer opens your account and is the data controller for your personal data. Ankara Yazılım acts as data processor on the employer’s behalf. A deletion request is therefore forwarded to your employer, who resolves it.

Request deletion in the app

1. 1Open the PBS app and sign in with your account.
2. 2Go to the Account page from the bottom menu.
3. 3In the “Personal data (KVKK)” section, tap “Hesabımı sil” (Delete my account).
4. 4Add a note if you want, then tap “Silme Talebini Gönder” (Send deletion request).
5. 5Your request and its status are listed in the same section.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, write to info@ankarayazilim.org. Include the following in your message:

• Subject: PBS account deletion request
• Your first and last name
• The name of the organization you work for
• The work email address you use for PBS and, if any, your employee number

The request is forwarded to your employer, the data controller.

What is deleted

• Account details such as name, work email, employee number, unit, title and workplace: deleted or anonymized when your employer closes the account.
• The offline punch queue on your phone: kept for at most 7 days and deleted when you sign out.

What is kept, for how long and why

Attendance records rest on your employer’s legal duty to keep working-time records (KVKK art. 5/2-ç). They are not deleted immediately on request. They are kept for the period your employer sets: 5 years by default, configurable from 1 to 10 years. When the period ends they are archived and deleted.

How long does it take?

Requests are answered within 30 days at most. Records still within their legal retention period are deleted when it ends.
